Coming up with a better way has been a philosophy that has served us well.

In the beginning, more than 65 years ago, Roto-Rooter’s founder Samuel Blanc invented the first drain cleaning machine.


The addition of full-service repair, maintenance and replacement plumbing to our services was a natural evolution as Roto-Rooter looked for ways to serve its customers better.


In 1972, Robert L. Hubbard Sr. purchased the Kalamazoo area franchise from the original owner, Hank Roscam.


In 1987, Dale W. Hubbard purchased the Kalamazoo franchise from his father, and expanded into Allegan, Van Buren and St. Joseph Counties.
